I have been photographing Erin since she was little, maybe 4 years old? It’s been so long I can’t really remember. It was back in the film days. She used to be such a handful. She always had that mischievous glint in her eye that I absolutely love to see, and she has always been a beautiful child. She has taken so many wonderful pictures over the years, probably because we let her be herself and she is so full of personality. This session is my absolute favorite. She’s a senior in High School this year and we have been talking about her Senior pictures for a couple of years. Erin has an artist’s soul, but not the tortured kind, the light hearted creative kind. She’s funny and fun and a really good sport. I see her in action with her little brother and sister annually. When I suggested we shoot her senior pictures at the Great Frederick Fair when it came to town both her and mom loved the idea. Finally! I have been throwing that idea out there for years and no one has ever taken me up on it. I guess I just needed to find kindred spirits to visualize how cool it could be. You know you nailed the session when your subject asks for her own set of images. It was really hard to pick my favorites. Here is what I widdled it down to .
