I did this shoot last week and was touched by how close this family is. They have a great appreciation for life and each other. They are truly a beautiful family in every way.
Here’s a peek at the shoot I did at Whiskey Creek Golf Course last Monday. What a beautiful location for a shoot. You have to know your way around the course and golf etiquette in order for me to agree to a golf course shoot. This mother and son clearly did. (I know… she doesn’t look old enough to be his mom) The shoot was done for Grandma’s up coming 70th birthday. Totally fun place to shoot. Would love to work there again.

I got a last minute call last Friday night to PLEASE come cover a 21st birthday party. Apparently the original photographer got the days confused and didn’t show up. Luckily the party was going on close to my house. I begged Grandma to take Katie and texted Tommy I would be home LATE and was shooting the party within 1/2 an hour of the phone call. I have been very careful not to post any photos of identifiable people with drinks in hand. The party started out at Morgan’s for dinner with friends and family. Around 9:00 19 of us piled into a hummer limo and went to Power Plant in Baltimore. We started at Howl at the Moon piano bar and ended up at Mosiac…well actually the last stop was McDonalds. Everyone had a great time and it really didn’t get out of hand at all. A lot different from the last birthday party I shot.

This gorgeous woman is not a model. She is my cousin, and she is probably going to kill me for posting these. They are so good I had to. She was complaining that she wasn’t photogenic, and no one can take a good picture of her. She changed her mind. We had lunch in downtown Frederick last week and walked along the canal tucking into shady spots for pictures. I gave her a few tips on how to angle her body and face and now she knows just what to do when a camera is pointed her way.
I can tell how long I have been in business by the age of Kaitlynn. When I first started I needed a newborn model. I saw a stork in her parents yard and walked over and introduced myself. She was my first customer. She is now represented by an agent and does acting and modeling. I see her about once a year to update her portfolio and comp card. She was my 4th shoot that Saturday. After two one year old boys and a two year old boy, Kaitlynn was a breath of fresh air. Always an easy shoot. Always good to catch up. Btw her hockey team came in second, I believe, in the nation this year. Well rounded, beautiful, smart and funny. She’s pretty much perfect.
