Baby H’s Newborn Photography Session * Frederick MD Newborn Photographer

Baby H’s due date isn’t for another 2 weeks.  That didn’t seem to matter to him at all.  He was already 2 weeks old when he came for his very first photo shoot last night.  He wasn’t about to allow his family’s their annual trip to OBX next week on his behalf. He’s such a team player! He was so tiny and so cute.  Baby H has the coolest big brother ever. Mr A is almost 5, he has a great personality soooo much energy energy, but he’s gentle and sweet with his baby brother.  Mom brought along some great props including a blanket that her grandmother made and big brothers favorite dump truck. Here are a few of my favorites from Baby H’s Newborn Photography Session.

Baby S’ SUrprise Newborn Session * Frederick MD Newborn Photographer

Ever watch the show on TLC called “I didn’t know I was Pregnant”? I have been photographing babies for 17 years and this is the first time I have ever met a complete surprise newborn.  Dad took Mom  to the emergency room because mom thought her severe back pains meant she had a kidney infection.  Fast forward to mom on the delivery table insisting she is not pregnant while pushing out a full term healthy baby girl.  Mom is very fit, in fact she’s a  tiny little thing.  The week before she delivered she started showing and thought she was bloated, or had some sort of infection that was causing swelling. A few people had asked and she honestly (as far as she knew) said “no”.  This family is so sweet, and laid back.  The are delighted with their little surprise, and very happy Baby S is a healthy little girl, as the still have all of big sisters baby things.  Of course baby S is a good baby.  She’s a great sleeper and so beautiful. She was the perfect little subject!

Baby S’s grandma is a friend of mine.  I heard the news soon after Baby S’s arrival.  Instantly my mind turned to  props I could use to tell Baby S’s story in a photo.  I asked if this was something the family would want and was given the thumbs up. Here is what I came up with, along with a few of my other favorites from the session:

Thank you to Mom and Dad for allowing me to share your beautiful new baby’s very unique story on my blog!

Baby J’s Newborn Photography Session * Frederick MD Newborn Photographer

Baby J was 8 weeks old when he came for his newborn pictures with his mommy and daddy and big sister last Friday.  His family wasn’t expecting to meet him for another 4 weeks.  He wasn’t even 3 lbs when he was born, but you would never know it.  He’s doing great!  He is such a beautiful little baby.  Here are a few of my favorites from his session.

Baby M’s Newborn Photography Session * Fredrick, MD Newborn Photographer

Baby M was just one week old this morning when we did her first photo session.  She is such a pretty little baby and so easy to work with. I just love all her dark hair, her squishy cheeks and those lips!  Sometimes the hardest part of my job is not kissing the customers.  It was darn near impossible today.  Baby M’s Grandma emailed me a few days ago to let me know she was here.  Baby M has 5 cousins who have all had their first photo shoot with me, today was baby M’s turn to follow the tradition.  Mommy brought some great props.  She brought the blanket Daddy bought for her, the lamb her California Grandma made for her and the “something blue” rosary that mom used in their wedding.  She also wanted to make sure we got the wedding rings in a shot or two, because this tiny princess is a honeymoon baby.  Here are those shots and a few more of my favorites.

Family Photo Session * Frederick MD Family Photographer

It was good to see everyone again last night.  I have worked with this family a few times over the past few years.  It’s been a while since I have seen the kids.  Lots of changes and new adventures are ahead for this family.  Big sis is heading off to college soon and they will be moving.  Mom wanted to do a shoot at the house while everything was still familiar to document the memories and her children that just seem to be growing up unreasonably fast.
