Baby R’s One Year Old Photography Session At Sherwood Gardens

Baby R’s mommy saw the one year old session I did at Sherwood Gardens last spring when baby R was a newborn. She has been planning to do her one year photos here for a year. The weather was a lot cooler this year, but the gardens were at peak bloom. The overcast day made for beautiful lighting. The rain held off until the ride home. Baby R was adorable and happy. Big sister, who is 2 1/2 got a few shots as well. I brought my second shooter Katie Masser along for the session. We really needed to get this done while the tulips were in bloom. Sunday was the only day I had enough time to get to Baltimore for a shoot. It was also Katie’s and my day to hang out, so she came along. She is 15 years old and has down’s syndrome. She got some great shots. I did very little editing to her images. See the bottom of the post for her album. I’m pretty proud of her.

I love that mom handed the girls chocolate bunnies for the last few shots of our session.

March Birthdays!

This baby LOVES her big brother. He was so helpful getting her to smile. They both have March Birthdays. Mommy made a cake to smash in honor of baby sisters first birthday. Of course she wanted to share it with her super cool big brother.

It was good to see this family again. The girls are almost Irish twins. I think they are 15 mos apart. Therefor I didn’t expect a ton of cooperation from big sister, but she surprised me. Baby sister was perfectly sleepy and beautiful.

Baby B is almost one. She really wasn’t feeling like taking pictures today. I think she would have preferred to cuddle with her mommy all day. She is a beautiful baby, so we still got some beautiful images. Even if she was a little stingy with her smiles.

It was so good to see baby A feeling better this morning. She came for Christmas pictures a little over a month ago and just wasn’t herself. I asked mom and dad to bring her back in after Christmas for a re-shoot, I’m so glad they came. This is the happy little girl I was looking for.
